Joker: Put On A Happy Face

Philosophy & Inspiration

Love him or hate him, but you can’t resist the tempting sympathy he evokes in you.

10 minutes into the film and Joker laces us all into his nihilistic world. Not so much, ’why so serious?’ but ‘Why so sad?’, Joker feels so much like a person who lives in our world rather than a fantastical cinema world.

We cannot help but empathize with his desire to be loved and accepted. We all effortlessly resonate with Joker’s anger, rage, loneliness and dislocation. While we cannot always justify his actions, we will always celebrate Joker as a hero.

We fell in love with Joker more so because he gave us the clown world meme by dancing his way down the stairs.

Our Joker Posty lets you sympathise with Arthur Fleck’s misery and pain and asks you, ‘Isn’t it beautiful?’
